Habi

Having flora as their common ground, Fili and Studio Irene explored the relationship between material and place through weaving at La Fioreria. Studying the connection through plant fibers from the Philippines and Irene’s flower arrangements composed of flowers and foliage native to Italy and collected from her surroundings. Habi, in Tagalog means weave.

Various works were presented during the event from March 10 to 15, 2025, including their collaboration— a collection of flower vases made with fibers discovered during Julia’s recent trip to her hometown. In the occasion of the event, together, they conducted a workshop together with theme of Ikebana and foliage weaving and a basic weaving class.
